This book offers a workbook-style no bs methodology to learning about who the you is, when you go forth to do you. Once you have a sense of that, you'll be better equipped to go for what you really want.

 

The author's realistic approach recognizes that no one solution is right for everyone, so there's a lot of great flexibility in the direction she provides.

 

Some great stuff here. Grab a pen and workbook, and buy this book.

Finally! An on-the-ground, "real-talk" deconstruction of the things that keep us from reaching our personal goals with actionable guidelines on how to break those habits in order to start to live the best version of the life you're,be wanted to live. Gould is a witty and personable writer with a lot of good experiential insights. Strongly recommended.

Cynthia Gould went through a phase where she was so shy and anxious she literally could not speak unless spoken to. She was terrified of speaking front of groups, singing, being in cars or planes - she was scared of life. That wasn't the sort of person she wanted to be.

 

Years later, she has travelled to perform on spoken word tours, flown to speak at a web conference, hosted poetry and arts events, and sings in a sleazy rock band. Oh - and she held a boa constrictor for several minutes without squealing. Neat.
